The defending champions bounced back from a 1.5-2.5 loss to the ADMU Lady Eagles in their opener as they turned back the University of the Philippines (UP) Fighting Lady Maroons, 2.5-1.5. Franchell Javier and Marie San Diego won their respective matches, while Samantha Revita’s match resulted in a draw.

The victory pushed the Lady Woodpushers up to the middle of the standings with 4.0 points.

Meanwhile, both rookie Francis Guimalan and Green Woodpushers team captain Tristan Ibaoc, who provided a win and a draw in their opening matches, came up short. However, Diomel Escutin showcased his talent and led the Green-and-White in preventing a UST sweep.

Following a loss from FEU the other day, the Green Woodpushers remained at the bottom of the standings with 2.5 points.

The DLSU Green and Lady Woodpushers will continue to battle and improve their standings as they respectively face NU and Adamson on September 21, Saturday, 1 PM at the UST Quadricentennial Pavilion.
