Coming from a tough loss in their last game against the FEU Tamaraws, the Green Archers was dealt yet another hard blow with an 85-83 loss against the resurgent UE Red Warriors earlier at the Mall of Asia Arena.

On the other hand, Roi Sumang led the Red Warriors with 21 points, seven rebounds, and six assists, while big man Charles Mammie had a double-double outing with 19 points and 16 rebounds.
La Salle looked to seal the game shut after Thomas Torres swished in a corner trey leading to an 81-77 lead with over a minute left in regulation.
UE would then answer back with seven unanswered points giving an 81-84 deficit for La Salle. Luigi Del Paz would then give a glimmer of hope for the Archers after making a long two off the corner to trim the deficit to 83-84 with 17 ticks left.
However, La Salle couldn’t make one last push after Thomas’ Torres jumper clanked off the rim which ended the game 83-85.
