The De La Salle University (DLSU) Lady Booters settled for a draw, 0-0, against the University of Santo Tomas (UST) Golden Tigresses in the UAAP Season 81 Women’s Football Tournament, Wednesday, May 1 at the Circulo Verde Football Pitch.
The Taft-based squad started their second round elimination campaign with a back-to-back draw; against UP Lady Maroon, 1-1 and now the UST Golden Tigresses, 0-0.
Although they were unable to convert their chances, The Lady Booters were able to dodge another scary first loss through an excellent defense that led the Tigresses to a scoreless match.
La Salle’s Goalkeeper Tashka Lacson defended the post well after blocking UST’s Charisa Lemoran shot, preventing UST to get the lead in the 68th minute mark of the match.
After 90 minutes of action, both La Salle and UST who struggled offensively did not pinch any goal throughout the match that resulted to a draw at zero a-piece.
However, the Green-and-White squad remained the top-seeded team in the league with a 3-3-0 win-draw-loss record good for 12 points.
The DLSU Lady Booters will try to stay undefeated as they face their archrival Ateneo De Manila University (ADMU) on Saturday, May 4, 3:00pm at the same venue.
