For the second straight year, De La Salle University Green Archer Ben Mbala won the Most Valuable Player award in the UAAP. He also bagged the PSBankable Player of the Season and the Most Efficient Player honors.

The Cameroonian was also named as part of the Mythical Five in the collegiate league’s 80th edition together with teammate Ricci Rivero.

Aside from the Mythical selection, Rivero was hailed as the Most Improved Player. Hiding behind Jeron Teng’s shadow last year, the high-flying guard took a huge leap in his numbers as he became a vital cog in La Salle’s offense this season.
